Licensee

Lumen Investment Management Pty Ltd, trading as Lumenary (ABN 31 616 119 941), holds Australian Financial Services Licence number 493790, issued by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission. The licence authorises Lumenary, in respect of wholesale clients only, to provide general financial product advice on securities and on interests in its own managed investment scheme; to deal in financial products, including issuing interests in its own managed investment scheme and dealing on behalf of clients in basic deposit products, interests in managed investment schemes and securities; and to provide custodial or depository services other than investor directed portfolio services.

Activities

Lumenary operates two lines of business under one licensee:

  • Lumenary Research: a research and index licensing business. It publishes research at research.lumenaryinvest.com, owns the founder-led classification framework, and licenses indices built on it. Index licensing is a commercial arrangement for the use of intellectual property and index data; it is not the provision of financial product advice.
  • Lumenary Global Founders Fund: a wholesale unit trust for which Lumenary acts as trustee and investment manager. The fund is available to wholesale clients as defined in the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) only. Information on the fund is confined to the Funds section of this site.

Jurisdiction

Lumenary is licensed in Australia. Research and index licensing are made available to professional and institutional counterparties in other jurisdictions on the basis that they are not offers of financial products. Lumenary has no offices or regulatory authorisations outside Australia. Persons accessing this site from outside Australia are responsible for compliance with their local laws.

Index licensing

Indices referenced on this site are calculated and published by an independent index administrator. Lumenary’s arrangements for managing conflicts between its research, index and fund activities are described on the Governance page.
